Sinotruk New Energy Vehicles in Nigeria

Sinotruk Nigeria held a historic electric truck launch at the factory of its client cement manufacturer Lafarge.

The event brought together government officials, the leadership team of cement manufacturer Lafarge, Lafarge’s transporter representatives and the leadership team of BHN, the transporter that introduced Nigeria’s first electric truck. Among the important people in attendance were Sola Arobieke, Special Advisor on Commerce to the Ogun Governor, Tony Ugah, District Commander of the Ogun State FRSC, BHN General Manager Surav Agrawal, and Lafarge CEO Lolu Akinyemi.

On this exciting day, full of expectations and excitement, people’s high enthusiasm made everyone forget the hot weather today. When Sinotruk representatives invited BHN General Manager Surav Agrawal and Lafarge CEO Lolu Akinyemi to jointly cut the ribbon for the electric truck launch ceremony, marking the official operation of Nigeria’s first electric truck. Everyone realized that this was a historic moment. This is an important step for the Nigerian transportation industry to move towards a greener and more sustainable future.

One of the highlights of the conference was the cooperation between Sinotruk and BHN. Sinotruk and BHN’s sincere cooperation successfully completed the first electric truck order in Nigeria, and BHN became the first transporter in Nigeria to purchase and use electric trucks. Sinotruk said it would fully support Nigerian customers, provide excellent electric truck solutions and work closely with customers to work together for a cleaner and more sustainable future.

BHN General Manager Surav Agrawal delivered an enthusiastic speech at the conference. He said: “We are proud to be part of Nigeria’s leading electric truck movement.
