Maintenance Methods for Different Parts of the Concrete Pump Truck

1. Chassis Maintenance

  • Engine Oil: After the first 50 hours of use, change the engine oil, replace the oil filter, and diesel fine filter, and clean the coarse diesel filter and air filter. Afterward, replace every 250 hours. When adding oil, ensure the same brand and grade of oil is used.
  • Oil Level Check: Check the engine oil level every 10 hours or daily during operation. If the oil level is low, refill promptly.
  • Transfer Case Gear Oil: Change the gear oil in the transfer case after 200 hours of use. Afterward, replace every 1,000 hours or every six months. The grease in the transfer case bearings should also be replenished every 1,000 hours.

2. Pumping System Maintenance

  • Hydraulic Oil: Check the hydraulic oil quality and level every 8 hours of operation. Refill and replace as necessary. When adding oil, ensure it matches the existing hydraulic oil (Esso H46 is typically used). Replace the oil after pumping 20,000 cubic meters of concrete or after six months. Clean the oil tank and drain the cylinders during oil changes.
  • Lubrication Oil: Check the lubrication oil level every 8 hours. Use 00# semi-fluid lithium grease, and ensure that lubrication oil is overflowing at key points like the concrete cylinder connection, S-tube bearings, and mixer bearings.
  • Cutting Ring and Eye Plate: After pumping 3,000 cubic meters of concrete, adjust the gap between the cutting ring and eye plate. If heavily worn, replace them immediately.
  • S-tube and Bearings: After 500 hours of use, inspect the S-tube and bearings for wear. Replace bushings and cones if necessary.
  • Vacuum Gauge: Monitor the vacuum gauge on the oil filter. If the needle reaches the red zone (above 0.04Mpa), replace the filter element.
  • System Inspection: Before starting the pump, inspect all systems, check system pressures, and ensure there are no leaks in the hydraulic system.

3. Boom Maintenance

  • Slewing Reducer Gear Oil: Change the gear oil in the slewing reducer after the first 100 hours, and then every 1,000 hours or six months. Use 85W-90 heavy-duty gear oil, and the recommended volume is 8 liters.
  • Lubrication of Boom and Outrigger Joints: Lubricate the boom and outrigger joints, slewing ring bearings, and slewing reducer shaft every 60 hours of operation with #3 calcium-based grease.
  • Pipe Maintenance: To prevent risks and malfunctions, use the correct pipe diameter, thickness, pipe clamps, and safety locks during concrete pumping.
  • Pipe Rotation: To ensure even wear and extend pipe life, rotate the delivery pipes regularly. Rotate straight pipes 120 degrees clockwise and curved pipes 180 degrees every 5,000 cubic meters of concrete pumped.
  • Weld Inspection: After a period of use, inspect the welding seams of the slewing platform, boom, and outriggers. If cracks are found, contact the manufacturer for repair.
  • Cleaning: After finishing the concrete pumping, clean the entire pump truck thoroughly. Do not leave any residual concrete in the delivery pipes.
  • Safety Warning: To ensure safe operation, only connect a 4-meter soft pipe to the front end of the pump truck. Do not attach any additional pipes.

Following these maintenance guidelines will help keep the pump truck in good condition and extend its operational life.
