The lifting method of a dump truck is its core and the primary indicator for judging its quality. The following are several common lifting methods for dump trucks: 1. Mid-mounted double-cylinder lifting: This method involves installing a multi-stage hydraulic cylinder (generally 3 to 4 stages) on each side in front of the second axle of the vehicle. The upper fulcrum of the hydraulic cylinder directly acts on the chassis of the vehicle compartment. Its advantage lies in the relatively small closed height between the floor of the carriage and the upper plane of the main frame. However, its disadvantages are also obvious, that is, the hydraulic system is difficult to ensure the synchronization of the two hydraulic cylinders, the lifting stability is poor, and at the same time, it will cause great pressure on the chassis and the entire lifting system.
2. Double-sided side-flip lift: Unlike the mid-mounted double-cylinder lift, the two cylinder blocks in the double-sided side-flip lift are arranged longitudinally on the vehicle chassis. This can significantly reduce the stroke of the hydraulic cylinder and also achieve double-sided side-flip lift. However, this method is prone to overturning accidents during lifting and has relatively low safety.
3. Front roof lift: The structure of this method is relatively simple. The closed height between the floor of the vehicle and the upper plane of the main frame can be very small. The overall stability of the vehicle is good, and the pressure of the hydraulic system is also relatively small. However, the stroke of the first stage cylinder is relatively large, and the cost is relatively high. Due to its simple structure and good stability, the front top lift is a commonly adopted lifting method in domestic dump truck products
4. Tripod magnification lifting: This lifting method has a mature structure, smooth lifting and low cost, but the closed height between the bottom of the carriage and the upper plane of the main frame is relatively large. It is currently the most widely used lifting method in China, suitable for dump trucks with a load capacity of 8 to 40 tons and a cargo compartment length of 4.4 to 6 meters.
In addition, according to the connection form between the hydraulic cylinder and the vehicle body, the lifting methods of dump trucks can also be classified into direct push type tilting mechanism and connecting rod type tilting mechanism. Overall, each lifting method has its own advantages and disadvantages. The choice of which method to use mainly depends on factors such as the specific usage scenario of the dump truck, the load capacity, the length of the cargo compartment, and the cost budget.
