A tractor is a special type of tool vehicle. In fact, it is a special vehicle that uses tools to pull the front vehicle and the rear vehicle together, which means that the front vehicle can actually be separated from the vehicle.
There are two connection methods for tractors. One is semi-trailer. In this mode, the front half of the trailer will ride on the towing axle behind the tractor, allowing the rear axle to bear part of the weight of the trailer. Its name, semi-trailer, comes from this. The other one is a complete trailer. In this mode, the tractor head directly pulls the rear compartment, and the compartment does not press on the front tractor head. That is to say, the tractor head is only responsible for pulling forward and does not bear the weight of the carriage.
The most distinctive feature of a tractor is that the tractor head can be separated from the cargo compartment, making it very flexible. If there is a problem with the tractor head, another tractor can be replaced in time to continue pulling the goods to the designated position. If the carriage is damaged, the goods need to be re-unloaded or transferred to another carriage. During this period, the tractor head can leave the carriage to engage in other freight work.
According to whether their supports can be moved, they can be classified into fixed type, mobile type and lifting type. Fix the left and right supports of the fixed traction seat to the base of the traction seat with bolts, and then fix the base of the traction seat to the main beam of the tractor. At present, the fixed type is the most widely used one. There are various styles of mobile towing seats, and their structures are almost the same as those of fixed seats. The main reason is that the connection method between the base of the towing seat and the main beam of the towing vehicle adopts a multi-hole or toothed design. The base of the towing seat can move forward and backward according to the needs of connecting the trailer, thus smoothly connecting with different trailers.
